Lancaster Hockey Festival Returns for 2025!

The highly anticipated Lancaster Hockey Festival is making its return on Saturday 6th September 6th 2025, promising a day of thrilling hockey action and community fun at Lancaster University. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the university's hockey facilities will be buzzing with activity, welcoming players of all ages and abilities.

This year's festival is designed to be inclusive and exciting for everyone. The day kicks off with a FREE Junior Taster Session from 10AM to 11AM, offering a fantastic opportunity for aspiring young hockey stars (ages 6-14) to try out the sport in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether they've played before or are picking up a stick for the first time, this session is perfect for igniting a passion for hockey.

Following the junior session, the focus shifts to competitive fun with a ladies 7-a-side tournament, commencing at 11:00 AM. This tournament warmly invites teams from across the local area to participate in a day of spirited matches. It's an excellent chance for existing teams to enjoy some friendly competition prior to the hockey season starting.

"We are incredibly excited to bring the Lancaster Hockey Festival back for 2025," says a spokesperson for the organizing committee. "It's a brilliant opportunity to showcase the sport, encourage participation from all ages, and simply have a fantastic day out. We particularly encourage local ladies teams to get involved in our 7-a-side tournament – it's all about fun and community spirit!"
